Great watch for the money
This watch is well worth the money, gps works well while on the mountain hikes and it keeps great fitness records.

Pretty awesome watch
Battery life is solid so long as you aren’t trying to find Narnia on GPS. Does pretty good with health tracking, on the other hand the app isn’t all that great so good luck keeping up with the weather. This watch is great for working out/ health tracking, and outdoor activities so if that’s what you’re looking for I’d recommend this watch.

Why do people buy smart watches they have to charge all the time?
The original review below was for the TRex Pro. I luked that watch so much I bought the TRex 2 five minutes after it was introduced in the USA, directly from Amazfit. The TRex 2 did not disappoint. GPS works better and uses much less battery. Sensor works better, although it had some glitches before recent software upgrade. Battery life is phenomenal. This has been my best purchase in the last decade. And paying attention to the watch data has dramatically improved my quality of life in the last 6 months.Bought this for the battery life, and the fact that it looks similar to the Casio G shock it replaced. My goal is to monitor what my body is doing, and I do not care about all the phone interaction stuff. I run the heart rate measurement every minute, and have the sleep monitoring enabled. Watch only displays when it is being looked at, or button is pushed, and display is turned off at night, Battery life is outstanding, WAY better than the other watches I have looked at. I am too busy to take my watch off every night and charge it, and to me that would make it a PITA to own. I charge this one every two weeks, and it still usually has 20% charge left. The only exception is if I use the outdoor exercise modes, which turns on GPS. Then the battery drains quite fast. A 2.5 hour bike ride will knock the battery down 20%. I can live with that, but would like this watch with a larger battery. With a little effort, watch faces were easy to download. It paired with Zepp pretty easy, Zepp software is pretty straightforward to use. It is useful, but could be much more useful.Accuracy is good IF the watch is worn as directed. I slide the watch up my arm during workouts to ensure a solid connection and it almost exactly matches the good heart rate monitors on gym equipment. Since it matches any equipment I use, basic statistics suggests the heart rate IS extremely accurate. This watch is so useful that I am actively looking for an even better one. Cannot find one, but may try the Amazfit GTR 3 Pro. That is the only one I can find that might be better.

Great smart watch
I’m really impressed with this watch I’ve had other ones including a Fitbit and none can compare. I had trouble setting up some of the functions and there is a function on the watch to contact them and they took care of it remotely and works perfectly. The battery life is unbelievable an it charges really fast, you can’t go wrong getting this and the price is great

Great battery I’m getting 14 days.
Love it overall. The silicone band is excellent for the purpose. Some of the apps are difficult like it will notify I have a call but block my iPhone from ringing. Still figuring out that setting.

Fantastic watch!
Owned the watch for about 4 months now. It’s sees abuse on the daily, not like the occasional tap on the wall either. It’s either being doused in some kind of chemical (i.e. brake cleaner, hydraulic fluid, engine oil) or being banged on against metal objects (i.e. engine blocks, wrenches, automotive parts) multiple times a day….probably not what the manufacturer had in mind when making the watch. Point being made it handles the abuse very well. May of even wasted my money on the protection plan. Has a great battery life, usually can atleast get 7 days out of it sometimes 10. The wristband also is very comfortable. The app that goes with the watch is decent, only thing I wish it could do is cross over to some other apps. Not a big deal though. For the price and capabilities you get with this watch, it’s worth every penny.

Very rugged and feature packed
Have had mine 18 months now and it’s still going strong. Military grade toughness…. Sleep tracker… Fitness tracker… everything you could possibly want, along with great battery life. My battery lasts roughly 8 to 10 days. Just awesome

So far so good
It was delivered yesterday (7/19/2022). The watch does not come with a manual per see. There are videos that helped with setup, though. It does not use Wear OS but it does sync with almost every App I have. The o2 sensor is flaky so far but that could just be me. The heart rate sensor seems reliable. There is a barometer but I have yet to compare that with the local weather channel. There is a compass feature that appears to function correctly. With the internal GPS I don’t need to have my phone with me to track my activities and it syncs when opening the Zepp app. Sleep tracking works but the display in the Zepp App is cryptic and lacks clear explanations. It comes with the normal nags (Like it’s time to stand up, walk, etc) I have not had a chance to test all the functionality so far. What is lacking that I have noticed so far is the ability to turn off alarms on my phone from the watch. I can turn the synchronized watch alarm off but I also need to turn it off on the phone, too. The OS provides email notifications (I have 5 email apps but so far only 2 notifications work). So far I can delete email notifications on the watch only. Instagram works – I did not see this in other reviews. The watch itself is rugged and the band allows many adjustments and fits well. (I have large wrists). I’ll update this review as I gain additional experience. So far it meets all my expectations. It is far better than “Fitbit” (I’ve tried their high-end watch that has afib detection and this one does not) and this has more functionality.

One Month Review
So I have been wearing this watch for a month now and I can say I have loved it so far. It tracks steps and heart rate very well. The app is very intuitive and easy to use. I bought this watch to track mountain bike rides since it has built in GPS and altitude capabilities. The GPS and altimeter are amazing! I ride along with friends that use garmin and this thing is just as good for less than 1/2 the $! It’s fully water proof which I have tested many times showering and swimming with no issues. I read on other reviews that battery life is an issue but I have not found this to be true. It does use quite a bit more battery when running the GPS but that’s to be expected. GPS Tracking one 2hr ride each day I can still go a week on a charge. I do construction work and I wear this thing all day every day and it’s holding up great and it’s easy to keep clean because I can use soap and water on it. It works flawlessly with my android, it dispalys text and phone calls. I was on the fence with this purchase but I have not regretted it one bit! It’s money well spent if you are looking for a GPS capable smart watch.

Great watch.
The battery life is great (lasts long enough to the point that I forget to charge it). Waterproof is good – no issues when swimming. I use it in the gym/hikes and tracking seems to work well. Step count also seems pretty accurate too. Sleep tracking isn’t perfect, but is close enough to be useful.Overall, I love this watch! Feels sturdy without being heavy. It looks good outdoors or when I’m working in the office. I have the grey one and it goes with everything quite well. It’s nice being able to customize the watch faces too. This is my first smart watch, but honestly think it’s the best value with the features and durability it has. Definitely recommend!

Exceeded my expectations
This thing was at 10% battery level after 28 days. I have the heart monitoring at 10 mins intervals. Moderate exercises averaging 8000 steps a day. Brought it in the jungle of Okinawa for training and it survived the intense training we had there. No scratches whatsoever. Recommended.

Great watch for the cost.
I switched form the Fitbit Sense to the AmazFit T-Rex Pro and couldnt be more happy. It has all the functions that I like and is capable of recording statistics for many sports. The main function that I use it for is sleep tracking and phone notifications, however sometimes I question the validity of the sleep statistics generated by the Zepp app.

Great for the field!
The media could not be loaded.
Honestly I’m not one for reviews, but I felt like I had to leave one this time. I’m in the military so I need a watch that is up to the task. Before this I had the Garmin instinct 1 solar edition and loved it but it broke on one of our field missions then a buddy suggested to try this watch. Overall I’d say it’s pretty good, the health tracking is spot on most of the time. The battery love is definitely phenomenal and I use the watch like crazy since I’m a fitness nut. It’s not too heavy or made of materials that causes the skin to breakdown. I wish the zepp app had a little more too it than what’s one there but for the price you can’t beat the watch. I’ve had this for almost 4 months now which is why I decided to leave a review because I believe I’ve definitely put it to the test. 9/10 recommend buying this for yourself or a gift to others.

They aren’t kidding about battery life
This coming Monday, 12/26, will be three weeks since I received this watch. I charged it fully and have not charged it since. Insane battery life. And I’ve been using the features. As of this writing the watch still has 20% charge left, after almost 21 days. I’m going to see how long it will take to get down to 5% before I recharge it. Great watch not just because of battery life. Definitely recommend.

Off to a great start!
I ordered this watch and it showed up two days early from the expected delivery date. The app really allows me to control everything I want to sync to the watch or not. I have tested it out with all the health options today and it is spot on. It is very conformable to wear, move around, and looks amazing with the always on display settings. I am so glad I have this watch now and highly recommend it.

Like the Energizer Bunny . . .
Like the Energizer bunny this watch goes on, and on, and on, and on . . . . Seriously though, I have to recharge this watch roughly once every 26-30 days (on current active on settings). The sports functions are great and reasonably accurate as well. The watch also has a better than average appearance as well. The rugged sports watch design can take a punch and the case glass is strong. I have whacked furniture with the case on numerous occasions without damaging the finish. The time is very accurate, and setting the watch up is probably the most intuitive I have experienced with Amazfit products. If you are looking for a solid workout and general sport watch, this is it.

Very Good
I wear this for daily use. Became really handy on my vacation. GPS, Compass, Weather and more features were pretty accurate. Phone app needs work. Not many options with watch face. Battery life is 14 to 18 days. Hope to see more features on next update.

Good watch for the price
I had an amazfit GTS mini to start with. I gave that one to my wife and bought this watch. It’s a good durable tough watch which is what I was looking for. The battery life is a little less than I had hoped. The touch screen interface is very different than the GTS mini which is disappointing because I really like that interface better. Also it has a few less choices where the clock is concerned for custom watch faces. You have to download a separate app to get other custom watch faces and haven’t found one that I like as well as the ones on the GTS mini but overall good

Setup is unusually difficult 9am
The watch works as advertised if you can tolerate the unnecessarily difficult setup.I like the watch but for some people a cheaper version might work just as well

Chunky and good looking
Battery lasts for days. Looks good, functional and easy to use. Needs a button lock out so modes don’t change during heavy activity

One of the best watches I’ve owned
This watch is tough, I’ve been wearing it for about a year now and I am an industrial mechanic, this thing stands up to the test of wear and tear, no scratches as of yet, the battery life is insane, charging once a week for a full battery and it take less than an hour to fully charge, the operating software is great, the watch face selection is vast, the app is user friendly. By far my favorite watch, I highly recommend this product! Just try it out for yourself you won’t be disappointed.

Ever lasting battery
I will say that I am wearing this as I write and it has been 2-1/2 weeks and the battery is still at 44%. This alone was worth the price, but this watch has it all and I am very happy with it. I replaced a Samsung smart watch and this does everything that watch did only the battery life is crazy good!

Not Sure What Fitness Watch? Get the Amazfit T-Rex Pro
Don’t know how many multiple product reviews I’ve read, and everything seemed to point to the Garmin Fenix7 or more. $900, when I’m not sure seemed stupid. I was jaded by the backhanded complements I read about AMAZfit. But at around 150$, what was to lose? Nearly a month later and I’m totally happy with battery life, functions, etc. The only challenges I find is seeing the screen in very bright sunlight despire having brightness turned way up. But otherwise this thing is a killer deal. My only other option I’d go for now is the TREx2, but it’s a bit larger in diameter and this T-Rex Pro just is a perfect fit, so I’m not sure what I’d gain by a fitness watch that overshadowed my wrist.Get this: I’m 74 and I’ve totally figured this watch out in less than a week. It tracks my altitude gain when I daily climb/scramble up the mountain in my backyard. The vibe alarm is strong enough to get my attention but not startling if doing something dangerous. The summit is around 8200 feet, and this watch gives me 8020. Not sure which is correct but it’s close enough for me and it tracks my altitude gain and loss quite well. I got this as a test to see if I like this kind of technology, and frankly, it’s all that I need. Great price. Great fit. And as I know from some of my Casio purchases, there is such as thing as TOO BIG. A watch that is too big gets left home. One that is JUST RIGHT stays on my wrist. And that is where the TREX PRO permanently resides. As tempted as I am by the TRex2’s new / updated features, the pics I see on wrists make me think it could end up being a dangler – those who have worn too big watches likely know what I mean. The Pro is perfect, just big enough but not too big. What a deal. I am completely satisfied. My Gshocks all have scracthed faces; the Amazafit so far is un touched.Love it.

Good Looking, Capable Watch, Built to Last
First, why I purchased the T-Rex Pro has everything to do with the two digital watches I had before I purchased the T-Rex Pro. Bear with me. More details about the watch itself below that.HUAWEI GT 2EMy 1-year old HUAWEI GT 2E watch strap broke and fell into a trash dumpster, which I didn’t notice until it was too late. The $130 Huawei digital watch needed $4 screen protectors which broke almost bi-week, and the watch face eventually scratched up once I stopped replacing the protectors. The lesson here for me was that I wanted something more durable, similar to the Garmin Fenix 3 I had for 5 years prior to this watch.GARMIN FENIX 3My $650 Garmin Fenix 3 had come with a Saphire un-scratchable watch face. I loved this watch, treated it like a beast until the battery died (which is un-replacable). The memory for my love of the Fenix 3, with the bulky feel, and durable, sporty look, brought me to the T-Rex Pro, which is far less expensive. I was able to purchase the T-Rex Pro with a discount on amazon for $154.T-REX PROI’ve had the T-Rex Pro for several weeks, notably while moving locally and put it through an initiation where I accidentally clanked it against several doorways while walking with jumbo boxes in hands and it came through without a mark, even in one case having white paint stuck to the bezel from a wall where I had to peel off the paint with a utensil from the watch bezel. But no scratches through the 5 day ordeal despite the bezel hitting various doors, etc. The raised bezel no doubt has protected this watch face where the Huwei had failed time and again. As far as I can tell the watch face should hold up well without screen protectors. In terms of features, I’ve seen several reviews incorrectly state that you can only run one app on the watch at a time. They say, for example, if you’ve started the timer then you can’t use the stopwatch, etc. Not true. When you have an app working on the watch just LONG-PRESS the “BACK” button and it will bring you out of the current app and back to the watch face where you can go back into your app list to select another app to use and run while the other one is working. It is possible to use multiple apps at the same time.I mostly use the watch for notification for calls, emails, and texts. It does an adequate job for this. I don’t need to respond to them but just see what I need to get to while I’m out and about. The pop up notifications to alert you to a new text/email are a little too quick before disappearing for my tastes. When using the Notifications app to read an individual text/email, the messages are again on screen for only a few seconds before automatically kicking back out to the list of texts, so I need to go back and select/open the text again to get whatever part I missed. Also, a word in a text message will sometimes be broken up over two lines. It’s not a huge deal in terms of functionality for but I also think it’s something that should be fixed as it isn’t professional look IMO. I can get past these small issues personally but you should know about them before purchasing this watch all the same.I love the look of the watch: the blue color suits me well and I like how the band feels more integrated with the overall look of the watch with the raised texture on the side of the band. In some online video reviews the blue watch color sometimes seemed a little greenish depending on the lighting but in personal it’s more of a matt blue grey which I do like and am pleased with. Please note, I’ve seen some people say there aren’t replacement bands for this watch because they don’t use the quick release mechanism on the band. You CAN purchase aftermarket bands for this watch but those bands require two small screw drivers (usually they come with the replacement band) and this was the very same process I used with my Fenix 3. The feel of the watch is good on the wrist and it’s not too heavy. My fenix 3 had real heft to it which I kind of liked and wouldn’t mind if the T-Rex Pro was even heavier. I imagine though most people would prefer the lighter feel of this watch.I downloaded a watch face that reminded me of one I had on the Fenix 3. I used the “AmazFaces” app from the iPhone store for a much wider selection of faces to download. Make sure in the T-Rex Pro “Zepp” watch app to toggle the watch setting for “Discoverable” to “ON” to be able pair and download watch faces from the AmazFaces app.The battery is very good. I still won’t use an Apple watch because I don’t like taking off my watch at night to charge and I like the option of not charging the battery for more than a few days. For instance, I misplaced my charger while moving, so I simply turned off all of the notifications, monitoring and special features, etc and I went 8 days using only 25% of the battery. But, should I turn all monitoring/features on such as heart rate, notifications, watch face always on, etc, I can use well more than 10% in a day. I like being able to adjust and balance what I want to use on the watch and keep a happy medium to battery length. All in all, I feel I have everything I wanted with my Fenix 3 at a big discount (sacrificing a little bit of the glitz of having a silver bezel, and the sports app, etc) but still have the pleasant feeling of a rugged watch that will give me a long battery life, take a beating, and provide the features I want.

Love it better than samsung
I had a Samsung smartwatch and I really did not like it. Battery lasted maybe 36 hours total and took 10 hours to charge. Useless for tracking sleep and workouts consistently. This watch battery lasts me 8 or so days with everything turned on and tracking! And only about 45 minutes to charge! I paid triple for my Samsung, why can’t they incorporate this battery technology that Amazfit has. Seriously this is a ridiculously better deal . Tracks sleep well. Tracks my workouts better than the Samsung. Samsung would lose the heartrate, this one is consistent. The only thing this model doesn’t do is I can’t answer my phone and talk on the watch itself. I think one of the other Amazfit models you can answer your phone, but I chose not to get it, so I could have gotten if I really wanted to pay a few extra bucks for it. I got my wife an Amazfit watch now and she loves it. My buddy just got one too after I showed him mine. Unless something fundamentally changes in technology, I’m super happy with this thing. Never going back to those “expensive” smartwatch brands.

A very good watch.
I have not worn a watch for over 25 years. I just turned 55 and am concerned about my health. I did my homework and decided this was the ideal watch at the best price. I have owned it for almost a year and was best decision I have ever made. I build pools for a living and it holds true to durability, ease of use and functionality. I do not write very many reviews however this watch definitely deserved one. I use the extremely useful app on my iPhone and love the amount of information it provides. I do not use most of the workout features however the ones that I do are perfect. I am sure the real work out buffs would even benefit that much more with this watch. I highly recommend this watch, it will not let you down. Give it a try, I did.

Great value for the price
I’ve had this T-rex long enough now to write a brief review . Several months .There are videos showing the features so I’ll stick to basic concerns prospective buyers may have .I was considering purchasing a Garmin smart watch but figured I should buy a less expensive offering in the case I ended up not wearing the thing very often .This watch is very light weight and I forget it is even on my wrist . It is large but very comfortable and I have a small wrist ; about 6 1/3 inches diameter .The keeper on the band that secures the excess portion of the band beyond the buckle incorporates a small protrusion that interlocks with the holes in the band and prevents it from sliding around and allowing the band to flop free like every other watch band I’ve owned . I wish this was a feature on all polymer bands !I charge the battery to 90 % and recharge it when it gives me a warning @ 10% charge .It requires one hour to charge from 10 to 90% .I use the GPS function twice a day for cycling for a total of maybe 1 hour to 1.5 hours total / day and operate the watch with the screen normally off and the battery lasts about 15 days , although sometimes it will go 23 days if I’m only wearing it 5 days a week .I’m guessing it will last you at least 5 days if you are using the heck out of it each day , but it charges so quickly battery life should not be a concern .I do not sleep with it so I cannot comment on those features .The GPS is accurate as far as tracking your movements on the map but don’t buy this watch if accurate elevation data is important to you .I assume the internal clock is not accurate enough , it will give you very wrong elevation numbers each time you ask for it .The only thing I would like to be improved is that when using the countdown timer or stopwatch the watch does not display the time ( or anything else ) . You must cancel the function completely to view any other data .Overall this is a very capable device for such a low price . Very easy to operate .

Great for data logging of health issues.
For the most part this is a great product. I have used it for about 9 mo now. The watch still has a really good battery life all during these 9 mo.The feature I needed the most was the Sleep and Heart rate monitoring. Mostly the heart rate. I have Bradycardia. Sometimes my heart rate drops into the 30-40 range. This seriously restricts what I can do or how far I can walk. The feature I needed the most was the Sleep and Heart rate monitoring. Mostly the heart rate. I have Bradycardia. Sometimes my heart rate drops into the 30-40 range. This seriously restricts what I can do or how far I can walk.Pros:Most of the watch functions work well. For the most part the watch has seemed to be water resistant for normal use. The GPS functions do work well (Just takes a little time to get the reading) I tested reading for O2 and heart rate with the VA vital sign equipment and find it to be acceptably accurate. +- 1 or 2 on O2 or heart rate. The ZEPP app also seems to be for the most part, a well made app (With one MAJOR exception, covered in Cons)Navigation seems simple the data is presented in a way that is helpful. Lots of fitness choices (Walking, running, cycling ect) Do to my disabilities I do not use them much, but they all seem to work well when I can use them.Cons:First the watch ‘s touch screen is very frustrating when selecting from the menu. (I just learned to navigate and select using the buttons) It also does not show the screen about half the time with an normal “Check the time on the watch arm movement.” For some reason it seems to work best when you are in bed with it on.I indicated at the top I use this for heart rate data logging mostly. I also like to track my steps during the day. What I found is the app is designed for “Normal Humans Only!” If you are sick, recovering from an injury, or disabled the goals The app has a BULLY like couching system that can get VERY OLD FAST! If you have problems walking it will keep telling you day after day you FAILED! The goal system does not allow you to select any thing below 2000 steps a day. If you are disabled, or recovering from a bad injury. The last ting you need is a BULLY reminding you that you are FAILING day after day.I used the apps Feedback feature. (That is a Pro having Feedback in the app) The result was a real Con!I tried to give feedback about how they set it up so some people (disabled, sick, or injured) could not set goals below 2000 steps a day. It took several attempts with the feedback to get anyone to even reply. They basically said they do not care! It is just fine the way it is.I noticed in tracking Sleep it does cover naps. It does not think you need to sleep more than 20-30 min for a nap. (A Power nap) The program again gets out the BULLY to tell you FAILED AGAIN.I only gave this a 3 star rating. One star lost do to the BULLY in the app. One star lost for the Feedback I got for them!It is a FANTASTIC data logger! It is a Great watch, and a good app. Just a few more refinements it could get a 5 star rating.

Great simple smart watch…Battery life is about half of what is claimed.
I have enjoyed the watch and all of its functionality. I love my analog watches and the T-Rex Pro is my first foray into the smart watches. It has proven to be simple and easy to use. I was pumped when I read it has an 18-20 day battery life as the rest of my family has the fruit watch that needs charging daily. It is reliable and durable – my wife tells me I’m rough on watches and this one has yet to scratch or even dent after several months of daily wear. I do wish I was able to get notifications from more apps. The big social medias are there but some other apps don’t have notifications. Battery life was definitely one of the selling points for me. I was excited to read about 18-20 day battery and thought long and hard before buying. I saw some differing reviews on the matter but I decided to take a chance. I consistently get a 10 day battery life. Maybe I don’t have power save methods on or something like that but I was hoping to approach the advertised battery life. Overall, 10 day battery life seems fine compared to other options and I am satisfied. I would still recommend this to anyone wanting a simple smart watch that looks nice and is rugged!

Most affordable and functional smartwatch on the market.
This would be my 3rd Amazfit smartwatch I have owned. I have had Fitbits, and Samsung watches, but the Amazfit has been the most reliable. In comparison to the Fitbit, the T-Rex pro is hands down the best for my lifestyle. It tracks all the activities I do, biking, walking, swimming and running, providing close to accurate readings. The HRM is very accurate, even with my low resting HR. The blood ox meter is extremely helpful, and after experiencing 2 years of the pandemic, provided me a good reading on my health. The functionality of the watch is very user friendly to me, with 4 crown buttons if you have wet hands and the face swipe is not picking up, this is a huge plus when swimming or doing activities and sweating. The most notable thing about the watch is its durability. Past smartwatches I owned had issues with the face cracking on the edge, but the T-Rex has a protected edge and protects from bumps that could hit the most delicate part of the face. Durability is very important to me and this watch has it in spades. The general things you would expect from a watch, like telling time and setting alarms and such are solid. and the sync app for the phone works really well. There are many different watch faces you can download, and there are some that you can customize to fit your style.I can view emails, text and other alerts I set up on watch, but I cannot respond. This to some may be a huge issues, but for me its not. I never used the talk to text on my watch or answered a phone call on my watch, mainly because I always have my phone with me and why text on a 2 inch circular screen when I can just use my phone. Same with phone calls. The GPS has always been solid with all Amazfit watches I had, to include this one. It connects fast to satellites and does a great job with tracking and backtracking my route. GPS on will drain the battery faster, but it doesn’t drain days off my charge, maybe 2-3% of battery when I use it.Battery life in all Amazfits has been great. The T-rex is rated for 18 days. I have not tested this out, mainly because I have a habit of charging one day a week regardless of current charge. However, the charge is really fast, 50% to 100% in 15 minutes. There are watch ban replacements specific to the T-Rex, there does not seem to be a universal (22mm) option. This is a bit of a disappointment, but I order a 4 pack of bans (various colors) and after switching out bands I understood why they don’t use a quick release universal band, durability. This watch is more rugged than a standard smartwatch, and the ban pin requires you to actually use a tool (provided with the 4 pack of bans). The bans themselves are not as stiff as one would expect, but I preferer a softer ban, so no issue with me.The price is excellent. It is not a $400 watch, and does not have an Apple or Samsung name on it, but it works on all Android and IOS phones, and is a fraction of the price. Its rugged, functional and has a user friendly interface. I track my sleep, HR, Blood ox, fitness, view emails and text, use my GPS, and customize my watch face on a regular basis. A very smart purchase for a smartwatch.

**UPDATE on the battery life** BAD BATTERY LIFE
UPDATE: May 26th 2021,Got my replacement T Rex Pro yesterday evening (05.25.2021)Fully charged it by 8pm, it’s 3:42pm the next day (05.26.201) I’ve lost 30% in less than 24 hours, the battery life on these suck, I haven’t used GPS or any fitness tracking, just wore it after it was fully charged, wore it to bed, raise to wake off and wore it to work the next day… lost 30%… wack wearable.DO NOT BUY ITAmazfit doesn’t care and falsely Advertises their battery life. You’ll get 4 days max with little to no use.UPDATE: May 21st 2021,I scheduled a replacement of this watch, I can’t get more than 4 days max out of the battery, notifications off, vibration off, brightness 1/3 full maybe, I’ve lost 30% in a day and a half, if the second one does the same thing I’m returning it and getting a refund, just poor advertising on Amazfits part, 18 days?! 9 days?! How?! By leaving it home on the table on battery save mode?! Lol this is ridiculous, such a bummer…UPDATE: May 15th 2021.I reduced my original 5 star review to a 2 star review because of one (in my opinion) major issue. The battery life…This watch was delivered to me around 5pm on Tuesday May 11th 2021. I fully charged the watch by 6:30pm (it was completely dead when I got it) after a few days of moderate usage, I’d assume nothing more than normal use I had to charge the watch Friday night, May 14th, I was at 15% and had a lot of outdoor activities planned for Saturday, and at the rate the battery was going I didn’t trust the 15% to last until Saturday night especially while using fitness tracking.During the three days after I fully charged it I only used the fitness tracking once, for 1 hour of walking, I’m someone who normally does a lot of activities outdoors like hiking and camping, I don’t want to have to worry about the charge on this during a weekend or longer camping trip, but it looks like I will.My always on display was off and the brightness was around 1/3 full, I do have all day heart and stress monitoring on but let’s be real, that’s the point of this device, lift to wake is also on and I have that on the sensitive setting because I don’t want to wait the 3 or 4 seconds for the display to wake to see the time once I raise my arm. I may have checked my SPo2 three or four times, other than that I just wore the watch, all notifications were on but I’m not super popular by any means so it’s not like my watch was constantly going off with alerts. I’m not sure what else I can do at this point to increase the battery life because I feel like turning off features to at least reach the 9 day moderate use projection would be so counter productive to having this device. I feel I may have received a lemon/defective battery, unless I’m missing something.Every Review here or on YouTube screams the battery life is so impressive, and to me that was one of the biggest selling points… well, I’m not impressed, I got 2 or 3 times longer battery life from the Amazfit Bip U I previously purchased and I used that thing ALLLLL the time when I first got it, and I didn’t need to do my first charge on that for 7 days… and the battery life only increased with the Bip U as my usage reduced. So two stars it is because for the price and the battery life being one of its best selling points I feel it’s extremely misleading.Other than that the watch is still amazing, looks and works great.Delivered: May 11th 2021,I’ve only had the T Rex Pro for a day but I absolutely love it, I’ve been waiting to make this purchase for so long and now that it’s here I’m so pumped.Build:The watch is light but feels like quality, the band feels really nice and has plenty of room for a wrist of any size, I have really small wrists and I love a chunky watch but it still doesn’t look ridiculous while wearing, I used a tempered glass screen protector so I can’t really make any comments on the watch glass itself but before I put on the screen protector it felt like it would be durable and it definitely resisted finger prints, like the daily ones lol not a greasy chicken wing finger print.Over all the build and quality of this watch is super nice. Definitely pleased with that part.Functions:I mean the stats speak for themselves, between everything the watch and app have to offer this set up will cover just about anything, that’s all I really have to say lol.User interface:Swiping around feels clean, responsive and all motions looks great, this can be customized for any preference of options to be where you want them. Prioritize the apps where you want to see them first. The buttons are a great addition to navigate the features of this Beaut especially in situations where you can’t use the touch screen. I do wish there were a bit more watch faces to choose from but I’m sure they’ll release more in the near future seeing how this Pro version has only been out since February 2021.Battery life:The only thing I’ve noticed so far that sucks the life out of this thing is the screen brightness, I lost about 15% battery in the first 5ish hours of wearing this with the auto brightness on, I turned it off and brought the brightness down to just over 1/3 and went a whole day of active use on about 5-8% battery usage. I have just about everything turned on too, but that brightness will take the charge away really quickly. So if wearing your watch shining like the northern star is your thing, (I get it I love a bright watch face) then just expect to probably charge it every 3 ish days.Things they could improve:I haven’t used this enough yet to really touch on this subject but some simple things that could be added are simple replies to text messages for one, that would be great. Some type of voice control or talk to text option would also be great, and possibly having Alexa assist like they have on some of amazfits lesser expensive models like the Bip U pro, seems weird it’s not available on the T Tex Pro.This thing is just amazing, I couldn’t be more pleased with this watch/fitness tracker. If you’re like me and have been circling this watch on here and YouTube all I have to say is just buy it, you’ll thank yourself later.

Sensors stopped working
I bought the watch to track blood pressure and heart rate. As of around 10/13/2022 all sensors on the watch stopped working. I made sure I am on the latest firmware and app version. Opened dev tools and submitted a debug log and never heard anything back. The watch has been worn on regular and less than strenuous conditions. My assumption is that the sensor malfunction is the result of an update.

Amazfit made a better G-Shock smartwatch than G-Shock.
I really like this watch! I didn’t know about Amazfit until I saw this watch at Walmart. I had to look at it a second time because I thought it was a G-Shock. I like it because it’s easy to set up and use. And it looks and feels just like my G-Shock G-Steel, too! And the T-Rex Pro looks good – it looks real good on my wrist. I know that Casio is a big, huge company. But they need to take some cues from this company. I really like this watch!I just wish it would’ve come standard with a metal bracelet.

Great way to dip your toes into the fitness wearable space.
Light on your wrist- easy to forget you’re wearing it sometimes. Hardware performs its intended duties well enough for casual athletes – GPS and HR BPM are accurate enough for the price point.App sucks and is not translated to English very well. Band sucks and it’s the only one you get. Very few choices for watch faces and they pretty much all suck.Watch is best suited to running, walking, and cycling – definitely misses the mark for weightlifting or other athletic activities that aren’t strictly cardiovascular. I don’t trust the calories burned at all and the sleep tracking is a novelty at best.Smartwatch functionality- text/call notifications, music controls etc were all untested by me largely because I couldn’t figure out how to set it up easily.Battery life is absolutely fantastic even using frequent HR checking and stress monitoring.Bottom line: for $80 to $100, this is a great way to experiment and decide for yourself if more expensive fitness wearables (Garmin, Suunto, Polar, even the new Apple watch) are worth it for you. For me, the answer was no, but thanks to Amazfit I didn’t need to make a $500 mistake just to figure that out.

Awesome for the money. Like For real and SUPER LIGHT
I bought this because I just couldn’t make up my mind about a Garmin and spending that much money. I read some reviews and this consistently made top 10 best workout/smart watch list. The Battery life is AMAZING.I went to Hawaii for 10 days and never had to charge it, even with using the GPS. It handled the ocean and river water just fine. I also wear it for sand and indoor volleyball and it gets pretty beat up. It is very light weight which is awesome considering its size and looks.ProsBattery LifeEasy to readAccurate trackingSuper LightweightConsIt is BIG. I wish they made a women’s version or just a smaller one. It can make sleeping with it on very uncomfortableIt needs a shortcut key to the activities you want quick access too. I have to go through a bunch of options for the stuff I want AKA Volleyball. It deeply hidden and I wish I could customize what workouts I want on a quick list or something.I got it during a sale and it is living up to the abuse. I have killed multiple Fitbits and Samsung Watches as an FYI.

Great GPS watch and affordable
I wanted one of those upscale GPS watches like from Garmin or Suunto. I had the Fitbit Ionic but it was glitchy, making it very unreliable. When I ran across this Amazon watch, it had all the bells and whistles I was looking for. I didn’t have much info on the brand, but I took a leap and bought this watch. After months of usage on trails, I am happy to report this watch exceeded my expectations. Here’s a couple bullet points:Battery life: let’s be real, all manufacturers of GPS watches provide battery life at lowest settings. Battery life is more than fine. Don’t need to go into the breakdown. I know what it’s like for a watch to be hungry for juice constantly. This isn’t one of them.Watch face: Vibrant colors. Readable face. I take it hiking in desert sun and can read it fine with sunglasses on. The only gripe one might have is the text size might be too small to read, but hey, this a large face compared to other smart watches.Comfort: Extremely light. Much, much lighter than non-smart watches. It never gets heavy even hours on trail. Strap is stretchy and there’s a learning curve on adjustment. Sometimes it feels to have a nice grip on my wrist, when in fact it’s sometimes too tight. A couple of days with the watch and you’ll get the hang of getting optimal comfort and usage.Durability: I hike a lot, but I don’t go bushwhacking. I can’t say I have tested the abuse it can take. Can handle direct sunlight and water, but I don’t know more beyond that.Fashion: It’s a nice piece to wear. No more bulkier that a g-shock watch, which it’s modeled after.Usage and Fuctionality: Out the box, it’s easy to use. Found it easy to link up with the ZEPP app. Watch face is touch screen, and at times I had to use the buttons instead because of sweaty hands. I found that to be a great feature when active and on the go.Price Point: affordable and you definitely get bang for your buck. This smart watch will make you feel like a smart shopper.Room for Improvement:- the sleep monitor is not reliable, but might be because how I wear the watch.- text small. It’s still a large watch face; can only do so much.- large menu. For some users, it would be a plus. For some it’s convoluted.- more watch face customizations would be welcomeOverall: T-Rex Pro is a solid GPS watch. Reliable, durable, and user friendly are my biggest take aways. Pleasantly surprised how much better it was to my previous big brand product; Fitbit Ionic. I hike and it transfers stats to third party apps like Strava with ease. This is not a you-get-what-you-pay-for product. A plethora of options and functions makes this watch feel like a steal at the low price point. At this point, I am not shopping around for new watches. I’m getting exactly what I want from this one and darn happy with it.

FANTASTIC battery life. Great value on functionality
This is a great little watch. I can literally make a full battery charge last roughly 2 weeks with standard (but not max) brightness. The screen on time is adjustable, which is helpful for me as I work in a medical setting and need to see the second-hand long enough to calculate an accurate resp count or heart rate. Sleep tracking is on there too. The app has more functions than I can describe here. But I will say I have it integrated with GoogleFit which in turn is integrated with my Cronometer app. Love that.Timers, alarms, stopwatch, weather, humidity, phone finder all with a few touches on either the display or toggle buttons on the side of the watch. There is more but those are the features I use. It’s bright enough that I can use it as a small flashlight to adjust my home thermostat in the middle of the night with a flick of the wrist. My only real gripes are that the HR on the display does not seem to be in real time but operates on some sort of averaging algorithm. For example if I take a flight of stairs it will not update the HR immediately on the display, however it does seem to keep track well enough in the app. Also, I think you need to activate the app on your phone periodically for the phone finder feature to work. Sometimes I try to use this feature and it doesn’t work – instead prompting me to activate the app. But only sometimes. It feels like the app may go into a “sleep mode” or something. But if I activate it, say once a day, this is not an issue.I cannot speak for it’s water durability, as I’ve not put it to the test yet.By far more features and value out of this than I had with my FitBit Versas. Recommended!

Better than expected.
Pros: Excellent display, great sleep tracker, great heart rate monitor.Cons: you can only switch from one exercise to another by ending the first and starting a new one. Battery life is not as advertised, but way better than Apple Watch.

Works great
Was bought as a Christmas present for my fiance. He charged the battery as soon as he opened it and lasted 2 weeks before he charged again (battery was at 13%). Has taken multiple showers with it on also. He loves this watch. Our son even wants one now.

Top Watch
Comfortable to wear. Great battery life. It lasted a week without charging. It is easy to navigate and easy to read. Also at night. You have a variety of different faces via the app that are real handy in different situations. In short. This is a top watch and great value for money.

Just doesn’t live up to the price.
Pros: Great fitness tracking options and capability.- Solid App.- Decent battery life. (Nowhere near the 18 days advertised but I knew that was nonsense going in. If you use the device in the manner intended you’ll get closer to 5 days. Which is awesome, IMO, and right in line with Fitbit.- Relatively speedy syncing with the app.- Lightweight. Unfortunately, this is also a con which I’ll address later.-Style and design. It looks like an actual watch and I really like the design.Cons: Frequently unresponsive. The touch screen has a success rate of about 50%. The “lift wrist to wake watch” is even less consistent. Even the buttons on the iOS app don’t always work. I bought this as an upgrade for my Fitbit and it’s maddening how bad it is for a $180 device. That being said, this is a common issue with almost any low end tracker I’ve ever used, but I didn’t expect it to this degree.- Cheap feeling construction. So this is supposed to be a rugged watch with “military grading”, but it honestly doesn’t feel very rugged. It’s very light and plasticy. In fairness, I don’t have any concrete proof that the watch isn’t durable, it just doesn’t feel as such to me. I can’t speak to the water resistance as I wouldn’t take a chance and swim with this watch on anyway.- The band. This one is annoying but not a deal breaker. It’s pretty cheap feeling too and the way the latch is designed makes it a bit tricky to get the device on and off. It is comfy though so not a deal breaker as I assume with time the band with get easier to work with.- And lastly, and this one left me scratching my head. No manual in the box. There is a booklet but it doesn’t tell you anything about actually using and operating the device. Not even a “quick start guide”. You’ve got to hunt that down on your own. What made this even more frustrating for me was the fact the watch came in a language I didn’t speak. I don’t know if they’re all like that but thankfully I know my way around things like this. So after about an hour of hoping I was pressing the right buttons while the watch updated, I was able to use the app to change the language to my native language. For reference I’ve owned Fitbits and Galaxy watches over the last few years. All have their problems for sure and I was never really a fan of either, but they’re both more usable and polished than the Amazfit Trex Pro. Which unfortunately, was quite a bit more expensive than any of my previous trackers.Summary: The Amazfit Trex Pro has some really nice fitness tracking capability with plenty of options and useful information. Unfortunately, it can be pretty frustrating to actually use sometimes. That all being said, I really do like the style and the actual fitness stuff/app. It just doesn’t do much to separate itself operationally from the pack, but it definitely belongs in the conversation.
